3. Use of Google OAuth

The Scriv integrates with Google OAuth to allow you to send downloaded books to a configurable Kindle email address from your own Gmail account. When using this feature:

• The authorization is performed securely via Google's OAuth 2.0.
• Emails are composed and sent automatically on your behalf, only when initiated by you.
• The app does not retain the contents of the email or any credentials after sending.
• No email metadata or user data is uploaded, stored, or shared.

4. Third-Party Websites

The Scriv performs user-initiated searches and downloads on publicly accessible websites (such as Anna’s Archive), which do not require authentication. These interactions:

• Are executed only upon explicit user action.
• Are not monitored or logged by the app.
• May be subject to the privacy policies or terms of the respective third-party websites.

We do not have control over nor take responsibility for the data handling practices of those websites.

5. Local Storage and Caching

The Scriv stores the following locally on your device:

• Encrypted user settings and preferences.
• Cached data such as book metadata, cover images, and downloaded book files.

All cached content remains confined to the app's private storage and is not shared externally.

6. No Analytics, Advertising, or Crash Reporting

We do not integrate any form of:

• Analytics tracking
• Advertising frameworks
• Crash or error reporting tools

Your usage data is never collected or transmitted.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Scriv is not directed toward children under the age of 13. However, the app does not contain content or features that inherently target or exploit minors. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the app inappropriately, please contact us.
